Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development established by Bharati Vidyapeeth in 1978, the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) is one of the oldest Business Schools in Western part of India. It is the first in its category among the recognized Institute of Management in Pune. Till June 2000, the Institute remained as permanently recognized institute under University of  Pune. The Government of India on the recommendations of AICTE U/S 3 of the UGC Act brought this Institute under the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune w.e.f. 20th July 2000.
IMED has been ranked among top 50 Indian Business Schools, in Surveys conducted by reputed organization in the recent past. it has been accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade.
