Research

The Research and Consultancy activities have been integrated with teaching and learning programmes of the Institute. The students, have to undertake a course in Research Methodology, seek assignment with industry during summer and to work on some problem or issue leading to a management action or IT solution. The teachers guide the students in this respect. The students in IT are required to get actively involved in industry based software development, system administration and e-business solutions. The reports and -10- monograms generated by students and faculty are the important source of new knowledge, ideas and renewed understanding in the areas of Management and Information Technology. The faculty are involved in curriculum development, courseware development, systems and case studies etc.

The Institute accepts consultancy projects either on its own or in collaboration with other Institutes and Industry in functional areas of Management and Information Technology. IMED is a centre for Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University's Post Graduate Research in Management Studies. The candidates registered for Ph.D. programmes under Faculty of Management get attached to this Centre. They use the Support Services of the Institute including Library & Computer Laboratory.
